Victoria Clothing Consignment Shops I’d Check First
Victoria has a strong secondhand clothing scene, with shops ranging from everyday consignment to higher-end designer resale. If you like thrifting, want to spend less, or are keeping an eye on your wages in Victoria, there are quite a few stores around Greater Victoria worth knowing about.
Here’s my personal guide to some of the clothing consignment and secondhand shops around Greater Victoria, with links where available so you can check current hours and consignment policies before making a special trip.
Consignment, vintage and thrift are a little different
Victoria has all three, and they can blur together. A consignment shop usually sells selected clothing on behalf of the original owner and shares the sale price. Vintage shops focus more on older or distinctive pieces. Traditional thrift stores generally rely on donated items. If you’re selling rather than shopping, check each store’s current intake rules first because seasons, brands and appointment policies can change.
- Check current opening hours, especially on Sundays and holidays.
- If you’re consigning, look for the shop’s current intake season and accepted brands.
- Downtown and Oak Bay shops are easy to combine with a walk, lunch or another local stop.
- For children’s clothing and gear, West Shore stores can be worth adding to a Langford or Colwood day.
A to Z Kids Consignment
This kids' consignment store in Langford is one of those great local finds. It’s now run by a young local family, and you can really tell they care about the community. The selection is always solid with gently used clothes, toys and baby gear too. A quick and worthwhile drive from Victoria for kid's consignment.

Victoria has enough consignment shops that it’s easy to make an afternoon of it. If you’re new to the city, visit a few in different areas; it’s also a practical way to spend time in the different neighbourhoods of Victoria and see a little more of the city along the way. Happy thrifting!

Make a local day of it
If you’re new to Victoria, I’d combine secondhand shopping with something else nearby rather than driving store to store all day. Downtown works well with the hidden gems guide. Oak Bay can be paired with Willows Beach. If you’re looking around Langford or Colwood because you may live on the West Shore, spend some time in the neighbourhood instead of heading straight back downtown.
